Who are we looking for?
Our Water Networks team in Sydney provides comprehensive water and wastewater network infrastructure solutions for the water industry. Our Design Development Partnership with Sydney presents a unique opportunity to work directly with a major Water Utility, with a strong pipeline of projects on complex infrastructure.

We are seeking a team leader with a background in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, a proven track record in client solution delivery, and experience or strong aspirations in people leadership, engineering design and career development.

Reporting directly to the Business Group Leader this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to major water network projects within NSW, as well as nationally and internationally, while mentoring and developing a high-performing team of engineers.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Managing the day-to-day functioning of the Water Networks team, supporting the delivery of impactful projects that make a difference in our community
  • Building team capability around technical delivery, project and client outcomes, and delivering high quality projects for our clients, through coaching and mentoring
  • Leading the development and submission of proposals, managing resource allocation, and acting as project manager for small to medium-sized projects
  • Promoting an inclusive, supportive and collaborative working environment within the team

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 7 or more years of experience in water engineering in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Experience in leadership and management of Water or Wastewater Network infrastructure projects
  • Previous experience or a strong appetite to manage a team.
  • Project management skills and a track record of delivering exceptional client experiences.
