Plant Mechanics - Rebuilds Workshop | Tomago

Due to continued growth, we're looking experienced Plant Mechanics and Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our high-performing Rebuilds Workshop in Tomago.

Our Rebuilds Workshop is responsible for overhauling and repairing surface mining equipment for some of our largest customers across NSW. You'll work on a wide range of machines—from M Series Graders to Off-Highway Trucks (including 789, 793, 777), Dozers (D10, D11), Drills, and auxiliary equipment—gaining hands-on experience in full machine rebuilds, component repairs, and diagnostics.

Roster Option 1: Monday-Friday (rotating days/nights)

• Monday - Friday (50 Hour week + rotating days/nights)
• Roster Pattern: 5D2O x2 5N2O x2
• Day shift: 06:00-16:30 & Night shift: 16:00-02:30
• Hourly rates from $53+ | Overtime rates from $80+

Roster Option 2: Lifestyle Roster - WORKING ONLY HALF THE YEAR

• Complete your nights in 1 swing, every 3 weeks
• Roster Pattern: 5D4O 5N4O - work 15 days out of 28
• Day shift: 06:00-18:30 & Night shift: 18:00-06:30
• Hourly rates from $53+ | Overtime rates from $80+

What You'll Bring

• Trade qualification as a Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel/Vehicle Mechanic
• Experience with surface mining equipment (Caterpillar or similar)
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
