Position Information

Asquith Girls High School is committed to developing independent and responsible learners and leaders, able to work cooperatively as future citizens. Selection Criteria
  • Approval to teach Visual Arts, Music & Music Extensions 1 & 2
  • Demonstrated expertise in Visual Arts and Music for Years 7–12, with the ability to design and deliver high-quality, inclusive programs and assessments that foster creativity, develop students' technical and expressive skills, and effectively cater to a range of abilities, including extension opportunities for high-potential and gifted learners.
  • Proven ability to inspire and elevate the profile of Visual Arts and Music within the school and the wider community, providing students with opportunities to perform, exhibit, and gain recognition locally and regionally.
  • Strong commitment to student-focused and inclusive learning, and creating a safe, supportive learning environment through extensive knowledge of differentiation and learner engagement strategies where all students are encouraged to participate, take creative risks, and develop confidence.
  • Exemplary communication and collaborative skills, including the capacity to develop and lead extracurricular programs in visual arts and music, and to form community partnerships that enhance student learning and strengthen the school's reputation in the area of Creative and Performing Arts.
Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
