Primary Purpose

As a Disability Support Worker at New Growth Care Group, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, focusing on daily living activities, emotional support, and implementing personalised care plans. Your role is pivotal in promoting independence, enhancing social inclusion, and ensuring the well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist clients with Medication Administration.
  • Support clients with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and meal preparation in their private residences.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy support and social outings. Transporting with Wheelchair and powerpack.
  • Monitor client health and report changes.
  • Provide companionship and encourage social engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and care provided.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain a safe environment for clients.

  • Experience in Mental Health

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Certificate IV or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or a related field (essential).
  • National Police Check (Issued Within the Last 90 Days)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Current and valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance. (Space for Wheelchair and powerpack required)
  • Manual Handling, Medication Administration and Infection Control Training (or willingness to obtain).
  • Full legal working rights in Australia.
  • Strong English-Speaking and Understanding Skills
