About the Role

The Defence Digital Group (DDG) is seeking an experienced
Project Scheduler
to join the Program Management Office (PrMO) as a
Scheduler Chapter Lead Resource
. This role is pivotal in uplifting scheduling quality, compliance, and capability across DDG's digital project portfolio.

You'll be contributing directly to both
short-term project outcomes
and
long-term scheduling maturity
, with a focus on best-practice scheduling using tools such as ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uplift Schedule Quality:
    Partner with delivery teams to improve schedule structure, logic, and data integrity across multiple projects, with an emphasis on schedules managed within ServiceNow.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting:
    Conduct regular reviews of project schedules, identify risks and variances, and deliver actionable reporting and insights.
  • Capability Uplift:
    Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and provide hands-on coaching to develop scheduling competency across DDG project teams and the Scheduling Chapter.
  • Short-Term Project Support:
    Deliver immediate, hands-on scheduling support to projects requiring urgent assistance — including building schedules, creating baselines, and performing critical path analysis.
  • Process & Tool Improvement:
    Support the ongoing refinement of DDG's enterprise scheduling frameworks, including integration with ServiceNow and other delivery tools.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Capture lessons learned and contribute to DDG's broader maturity and continuous improvement initiatives in program delivery.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in
    project and program scheduling
    in large, complex environments.
  • Experience working with
    ServiceNow
    for schedule management and integration is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling standards, techniques (e.g. CPM), and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach to knowledge sharing and capability building.
  • Familiarity with SFIA skills framework (PRMG Level 5) is advantageous.
  • Must hold a current
    NV1 security clearance
    .
