Senior Chef de Partie/Junior Sous Chef

Shetty's Food Australia Pty Ltd looking for a qualified Senior Chef/Chef de partie to join the team at our venue Silver Spoon @ Forty One located at Cronulla. We are a busy restaurant and function venue serving high volume of modern Australian menu. We operate multiple venues across Sydney. This is a busy position and will require applicant who has previous experience in a similar role and cuisine. We value teamwork and are looking for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team.

To be successful in this role you must have a minimum 2 years work experience in a busy kitchen environment. Completed Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification as well as knowledge of all kitchen operation, quality assurance and OH&S.

About the Role:

Your duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

· Create and prepare high-quality dishes with a focus on innovation and taste to provide unforgettable experience to customers.

· Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

· Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with OH&S standards

· Maintain proper and standards of storage of various food items

· Manage inventory, check stock level and order supplies

· Check delivery and minimise wastage as well as control food costs.

· Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

· Train new staffs as required.

· Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized kitchen environment

About you

The successful candidate must satisfy the following criteria:

- Minimum 2 years experience as a chef in a busy restaurant.

- Be passionate about the role to provide excellent customer service

- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.

- Ability to work with team and under pressure during busy hours

- Culinary degree Certificate IV level or equivalent certification preferred.
