About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to provide nursing team support and undertake the nursing care under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse to support consumer/person centred care.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Assist in the provision of nursing and midwifery team support and undertake delegated actions in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Decision Making Framework.
  • Respond appropriately and report sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/person to the Registered Nurse/Midwife.
  • Function in accordance with legislation when undertaking activities as delegated to provide an environment and care that is safe and relevant for individuals and groups.
  • Assist in identifying risks and opportunities for improvement and change to promote safe work activities, report workplace incidents, and participate in collaborative review of systems and processes.
