Our Hotel

Nestled within the 169-year-old sandstone façade that once housed Sydney's Fairfax newspaper empire and the esteemed Bank of New South Wales, Paradox Sydney honours its rich legacy while stepping confidently into the future. On 1 July 2025, the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney officially transitioned to Paradox Sydney—ushering in a new era for this iconic address and the global Paradox brand.

The Role

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated and passionate Full Time Cook to join our team. Our talented kitchen brigade covers all areas of food preparation and production for our various Food & Beverage outlets; Lady Fairfax Room, The Fax Bar, In-Room Dining, Business Class Lounge and Conference & Events.

*Please note that this role requires the flexibility to work a rotating roster including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, public holidays and relieving occasional overnight shifts.

About You

You are a team player who is willing to work closely with a small, diverse team, maintain the hotel's high standards and ensure that the policies of the hotel and kitchen - including Work Health & Safety and Responsible Business practices - are adhered to at all times.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • The ability to demonstrate and deliver 5-Star service with a can-do attitude
  • Previous experience as a cook, preferable in a hotel environment
  • Exceptional time management skills and being able to work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and procedures
  • Knowledge of current food trends
