Job Title: Financial Controller & Treasury Manager Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia About Us: Touch2Pay is a Payments as a Service provider operating in Australia, providing technology-enabled payment processing solutions for merchants and suppliers.

We offer flexible and scalable platforms, for managing online payments, cloud-based payment infrastructure and certified Android payment terminals. The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller & Treasury Manager to join our business and oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations.

The dual-role position (FCTM) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Finance department, overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations. This pivotal role will be responsible for managing the financial health and performance of the company, including financial planning, compliance, reporting, treasury operations, and operational efficiency while ensuring the company meets its regulatory and investor obligations, within the exciting and rapidly evolving payments landscape. The position requires strong leadership with excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of driving financial efficiency and accuracy within a growing business.

The role is accountable and responsible for ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures, relevant standards, relevant legislation, and accepted industry practices. The position will provide expert financial leadership and guidance to senior executives, managers, and stakeholders, and drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to inform strategic decision making, whilst ensuring objectives and outcomes are met, as directed by the CEO and the Board. This role oversees the management of the business's financial assets, ensures financial integrity, optimizes cash flow, manages liquidity risks, risk mitigation, investment strategies and supporting strategic decision-making within a dynamic and regulated environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity.
  • Leading the financial control function to ensure the implementation of strong accounting practices, accurate reporting, and a robust compliance framework.
  • Driving the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to support and align with strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable Australian / Global accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulators to manage internal and external audits, and ensure risk controls are in place and functioning effectively.

Ensure adherence to financial and legal requirements, and changes in accounting standards.

  • Ensuring treasury operations and practices are aligned with business goals and comply with regulatory standards, including day-to-day cash flow management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.
  • Developing and executing treasury strategies to manage financial risk, currency exposure, and investment activity.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to deliver clear, data-driven reporting and insights to investors and private equity partners.
  • Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and ensure efficient banking, effective transaction management and settlement processes.

About You - Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

CPA/CA (or working towards certification)

  • 15 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and treasury, preferably within fintech, payments, or a high-growth environment, (payments experience including transaction and settlement processes are a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, financial reporting standards, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements in Australia.
  • Excellent analytical and strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Quantitative skills essential for evaluating financial data and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights will directly contribute to the company's success and scalability.
  • High level of proficiency in Accounting systems (Xero), ERP platforms (Odoo), CRM/Inventory platform (HubSpot) and financial analytics & financial modelling skills (Modano), including advanced ability in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, necessary for collaborating with other departments.

  • A hands-on, proactive, and results-driven leader with the ability to multi-task, exhibits a positive attitude and a flexible approach to working hours
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adaptable and thrives under pressure, making strategic decisions that align with business objectives.
  • Proven experience in managing treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and risk management and previous exposure to regional Pacific Islands is advantageous.
