The Client
Robit is a dynamic, globally internationalized growth company specializing in high-end drilling consumables. With strong expertise in Top Hammer, Down-the-Hole, and Geotechnical drilling solutions, Robit serves customers in underground and surface mining, tunnelling, construction, and well drilling. The company boasts its own sales and service offices in eight countries, supported by a broad dealership network spanning more than 100 countries. Robit has manufacturing facilities in Finland, South Korea, Australia, and the UK, and is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki. Due to the expansion objectives, they are currently seeking to employ a Sales Manager to join their collaborative team.
The Role
Working in close collaboration with Rumisha Chaithram, VP of Australasia, the Sales Manager will be pivotal in accelerating Robit's market penetration and sales performance across Australasia and beyond. This role combines strategic market development with hands-on leadership to deliver sustained revenue growth and client success.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities
- Accelerate Market Growth – Deliberately develop and execute targeted sales strategies to expand Robit's Top Hammer and Down-the-Hole drilling consumables business, with a focus on increasing market share in core and emerging segments.
- Optimize Sales Operations – Introduce structured sales processes and performance metrics, driving measurable improvements in conversion rates, client retention, and revenue per account
- Expand Client Portfolio -Proactively identify, engage, and secure new high-value DTH and Th accounts while deepening relationships with existing clients to unlock cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
- Market Intelligence- Monitor sales activity and industry trends to identify and convert domestic growth opportunities into tangible sales results.
- Client Engagement -Conduct regular, strategic site visits to major clients and key prospects, ensuring Robit remains a trusted technical partner and preferred supplier.
- Brand building -Represent Robit at targeted conferences, expos, and industry events to strengthen brand presence, create new sales leads, and position the company as a thought leader in the mining and minerals sector.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you must meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience within the drilling consumables sector.
- Experience within a similar role with a proven track record of driving sales and developing new and existing business.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to strategize sales, sales costings and understand contract T&Cs.
- Results driven, hands on, self-motivated sales professional.
- Existing networks within the industry are advantageous.
