Aerodrome Management Services (AMS) is a professional services company providing a wide range of technical support and aerodrome management services to aerodrome owners and operators across Australia. Our growing team of aviation specialists provides support to our clients in the areas of aerodrome design, project management and construction, maintenance, technical inspections and aerodrome surveys, operational readiness, airport security, training, regulatory compliance, audits and ongoing daily operations.
About the position
AMS is currently seeking Aerodrome Managers on a permanent basis at various regional and remote locations, with the point of hire Darwin and with the potential of Residential Opportunities for the right candidate. You will be responsible for:
• The operation and management of the Aerodrome in accordance with the requirements of CASR 139 and Manual of Standards, Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 and the AMS Contract
• Providing management and technical expertise for the ongoing operation of Aerodromes
• Developing a culture that delivers continuous improvement in safety, customer service and ensures compliance with CASA and corporate safety requirements
• Planning and functional day to day management and operation of AMS Aerodromes, including stakeholder management, grounds maintenance and infrastructure
• Managing people and assets to mitigate risk, ensuring continuous improvement and successfully delivering outcomes in a complex and challenging environment
ABOUT YOU
You understand the vital importance of aerodromes to the aviation industry and you already know this niche sector has a lot going for it AMS will provide ongoing training and professional development to support this next step in your career, but you'll already be off to a great start if you have previous experience in the following areas:
• Previous experience in leading an aerodrome operations team with exposure to operations compliance, emergency planning & management and policy procedure protocol
• High intermediate to advanced administrative and report writing skills
• Familiarity with management systems and tools used in airfield operations
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise activities and manage workload to ensure effective management of deadlines and outcomes
• Communicate effectively and appropriately with members of the community, our clients, our staff and contractors onsite
• Current manual drivers' licence
