Terminal Operations Manager

Airport Development Group (ADG) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Terminal Operations Manager to oversee operations at Darwin International Airport, Alice Springs Airport, Tennant Creek Airport, and future ADG airport acquisitions.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring our terminals operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements — while continually enhancing customer experience and operational excellence.
You'll lead a high-performing team, manage critical contracts and partnerships, and contribute to the strategic growth and development of ADG's airport network.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily terminal operations across ADG airports, ensuring safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, maintain, and implement contingency plans, terminal procedures, and operational manuals.
- Foster effective relationships with key stakeholders including airlines, government agencies, and commercial partners.
- Drive customer experience initiatives and deliver measurable improvements in passenger satisfaction.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Terminal Operations team to achieve operational goals and foster a positive, safety-focused culture.
- Manage terminal budgets, reporting, and performance metrics to ensure financial and operational efficiency.
- Oversee terminal contracts, including commercial tenants, cleaning, and concession operations.
- Promote and uphold ADG's safety, environmental, and cyber security standards.
You are a motivated and collaborative leader with a strong background in airport or aviation operations. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about delivering excellence in safety, compliance, and customer service.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing operational teams in complex, safety-critical environments.
- Strong understanding of relevant aviation legislation, including Airports Act 1996, Aviation Transport Security Act 2004, and associated regulations.
- Working knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS) principles.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, reporting, and operational performance.
- High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Current NT Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain).
- Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
Desirable:
- Experience in a similar role at a regional or major airport.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Airport Operations, Aviation, Business, or Finance.
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer excellence.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve results.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and innovation.
