We are seeking a qualified, experienced Leading Hand Carpenter for full time and ongoing work in Geraldton.

As a Leading Hand Carpenter at MI Global Construction, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing carpentry tasks on various projects. MI Global Construction specializes in the construction of timber frame Modular Buildings and is also a Sheds N Homes franchise, so we also have a team of shed erectors building steel frame sheds and kit homes. In this role you will lead a team of carpenters, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and within project timelines. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and coordinating trades on and off-site

  • Reading and interpreting plans and technical drawings

  • Installing structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, kitchens and framing

  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

  • Training and mentoring junior carpenters

  • Collaborating with other trades to ensure smooth workflow

  • Effectively implement cost effective practices and understand the importance of timelines and procedures

  • Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition

Qualifications & Experience

  • White card and working at heights

  • Must have a driver's license

  • Must have most tools

  • Have attention to detail

  • Be able to work alone and as part of a team

  • Minimum five years trade experience.
