About the position:
The Plant Operator (Water Truck) is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment, such as Council Water Trucks, to ensure the delivery of construction and maintenance projects within the Toowoomba Region.
- This is a permanent full-time position based at the Charlton Depot.
- The base salary for this position is $1,257.27 gross per week, $33.09 per hour, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- In addition to the base wage rate, variable allowances are available.
- Work a 9-day fortnight with a Rostered Day Off.

About the Team:
Road Maintenance team is responsible for a wide range of civil maintenance activities including routine maintenance of gravel roads to maintain accessibility and road condition, targeted herbicide spraying to manage vegetation growth and slashing of roadside corridors. The hours of work are from 6.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
The Construction & Maintenance Central (CMC) Team undertake capital and operational works to maintain and improve safety, serviceability and efficiency of the region's road network and integrated transport system.

How to be successful in this position:
- Current unrestricted "HR" Driver's Licence.
- WH&S Competency Card for CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
- Demonstrated experience in operating related plant, including the operation of a Rigid Motor Vehicle exceeding 15t GVM.
- Ability to provide operational support by operating alternate plant equipment when required.
