The Role

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to oversee daily operations at our Montrose yard. This hands-on role is responsible for leading and supporting a small team to ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations across site activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support team members to meet daily operational targets
  • Maintain yard safety, compliance, and stock management
  • Operate and oversee heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, and forklifts
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics and maintenance coordination
  • Drive a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and daily checks

About you:

  • Must hold a valis Australian Loader Ticket
  • Additional relevant equipment licences (Excavator, Forklift, HC Truck – highly regarded)
  • Proven leadership experience in a yard, construction, or recycling environment
  • Confident operating heavy machinery (Loader/Excavator/Forklift tickets preferred)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A hands-on leader who leads by example and values teamwork
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence
