CS Energy is seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Senior Compliance Specialist to join our Enterprise Compliance team.  This is a vital role that sits within the second line of defence and plays an instrumental role in strengthening CS Energy's compliance posture.  You'll work closely with the Senior Manager Regulatory and Compliance and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels to ensure our regulatory obligations are understood, managed, and monitored effectively in alignment with CS Energy's Enterprise Compliance Management Framework (and Enterprise Risk Management Framework).

This is an integral role that blends strategic advisory, operational oversight and hands-on engagement with cross-functional teams. You'll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement across our compliance frameworks, systems and reporting processes.

The role is expected to be an assertive communicator with the confidence to engage with executives and cross functional teams, have an analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail, have a deep understanding of legislative frameworks and regulatory environments and a passion for compliance to drive and uphold the highest standards of integrity.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree in Business/Economics, Commerce, Law, Finance or similar discipline relevant to the operations of the energy industry.
  • Compliance related accreditation (desirable)
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a compliance, regulatory, risk or similar governance related role.
  • Energy industry experience is desirable. Understanding of Corporations Act and Competition and Consumer Law.
  • Knowledge of the National Electricity Rules (desirable).
  • Knowledge of relevant regulators and associated legislation.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management, Compliance, Assurance and Governance standards and best practice.
  • An ability to apply initiative to continuously improve the compliance program elements.
  • An ability to work accurately and reliably with detailed information.
  • An ability to communicate and cooperate with others.
  • Communicate openly and effectively and ensure high quality information is exchanged between self and others.
  • Ability to modify priorities proactively and be sensitive to time constraints.
