Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join our Residential Aged Care team on a full-time basis. In partnership with Clinical Lead and the care team, you will oversee and guide the delivery of high-quality clinical services to our residents. This role is perfect for a confident, collaborative leader who can inspire a skilled team and drive excellent care outcomes. Expertise in dementia, palliative, and end-of-life care will be highly valued, as you help shape and maintain exceptional standards of care across the service.

What the Role Entails

  • Assist the Clinical Lead and Quality Team in ensuring smooth and efficient facility operations.
  • Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team across all clinical and care activities.
  • Oversee, assess, and report on complex clinical conditions to deliver personalised resident care.
  • Mentor and support Registered Nurses and the wider clinical team to maximise their skills and growth.
  • Champion resident well-being and safety through collaborative care and excellence in service delivery.
  • Maintain full compliance with Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.
  • Demonstrate best practice in documentation, communication, and record management while respecting residents' individual needs, choices, and preferences.

Key Criteria

  • Must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse with at least 5 years' experience in Residential Aged Care at a Senior RN level.
  • In-depth understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, especially Clinical Care and Care and Services.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to navigate both current and future challenges in aged care.
  • Skilled in resident assessment, care planning, and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Outstanding communication and decision-making abilities, with flexibility to meet the needs of residents and the team.
  • Passionate about aged care, showing genuine respect for older adults and a commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
