Job tasks and responsibilities

Reporting into the Client Delivery Manager, the Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers & patrons of the shopping center and the retail stores. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work on a rotating roster previous shopping center experience is highly desirable.

Skills and experience

To Be Successful for this role; you will possess the following;

  • Current VIC Security License
  • Current National Police Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Proven experience in Shopping Centers and Customer Service industries.
  • Excellent presentation and grooming standards
  • A Positive and Proactive Approach
  • Passion for delivering professional and efficient customer service
  • Evening & weekend availability are essential
  • Strong written communication skills, including incident report writing.
  • Ability to multi task and work autonomously in high paced team environment

Key Responsibilities

  • High Attention to details
  • Unlock and Lockup the Premises
  • Access Control and systems
  • Monitoring of computerized Alarms including BMS and fire panel where required and CCTV
  • Foot Patrols in and around the center
  • Skills in Incident Reporting and Emergency Response
  • Customer Service and support including promotion of the center's activities and car Park Management
  • Community liaison and relationship building with the local community and Service Providers who visit the center
  • Supervision of facilities work outside management core hours where required.
