About the Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault (ECASA)
ECASA provides free counselling and advocacy services to adults and young people/children in the Eastern Region who have experienced sexual assault recently and in the past. The model of care includes the provision of crisis and short to medium term counselling, group work, professional consultation, and professional and community education programs.
About the role

The Counsellor/Advocate roles require a strong commitment to trauma-informed collaborative practice and operate from an empowerment and victim's rights-based approach to recovery. ECASA provides a supportive, connected, and positive team culture with a well embedded supervision and professional development program. There is an opportunity for clinicians to increase their knowledge and expertise in responding to sexual assault with professional development opportunities in trauma related modalities.
ECASA's main site is based in Ringwood East but it is a requirement that the successful candidate have flexibility to provide outreach in the Inner and Outer Eastern Region. There is also an expectation of availability for after-hours on-call duties with a minimum of two shifts per month.
