Join our team at Hunter Performance Physio — where exceptional care meets collaborative expertise in our East Maitland and Raymond Terrace clinics.
About UsHunter Performance Physio is excited to bring a practice with a strong reputation of successful patient recoveries to the Hunter Region. Our philosophy centres around effective, personalised care that helps people return to what they love doing—quickly and safely. We strongly value:
- Patient-centred recovery, focused on performance, prevention, and a return to "Living Life to the Full" through a mix of approaches such as 1-on-1, group-based sessions, and hydrotherapy.
- Collaborative care—working hand-in-hand with local GPs, specialists, sports coaches, and, importantly, our own in-clinic AEPs and physiotherapists.
- A culture of excellence—"patient care, clinician expertise, and the practice's culture is and will continue to be industry-leading."
As our clinic-based AEP, you'll deliver evidence-driven exercise physiology within our welcoming and purpose-built clinics in East Maitland and Raymond Terrace. This isn't just about remote prescription—it's about working side-by-side with other AEPs and physios in a shared environment to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.
Why this is different:- In-clinic integration—you won't be isolated in a gym, on the road or virtual-only settings.
- Real-time teamwork with physiotherapists and other AEPs.
- Consistent access to modern equipment, shared learning, and immediate application.
- You won't be required to spend hours driving all across Newcastle and the Hunter Region—your patients come to you in our fully equipped clinics.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) qualifications.
- We welcome EPs with significant experience or EPs who are at the beginning of their careers. Regardless of your experience, we offer mentorship as well as financial support for professional development.
- Someone who can work with patients from a variety of clinical populations—orthopaedic, metabolic, cardiovascular, neurological, NDIS, DVA and occupational injury rehab..
- Ability to deliver tailored, outcome-driven interventions within a clinic setting.
- Warm, collaborative approach that enhances our multidisciplinary culture.
- Deliver one-on-one, group exercise, and hydrotherapy treatments in our clinics and a pool facility close by.
- Co-design care plans with physiotherapists, ensuring best-practice, seamless patient journeys.
- Monitor progress and adjust programs—transitioning patients from rehabilitation to return-to-activity or performance.
- Educate, motivate, and build long-term relationships with patients.
- Embrace shared learning: participate in case discussions, team in-services, and continuous professional development.
- A supportive, professional culture recognised for its excellence.
- Modern clinic facilities with exercise prescription tools, equipment, and digital support.
- The satisfaction that comes from collaborative, tangible outcomes for real people in your local community.
- Opportunities to grow in interdisciplinary practice and leadership.
