We are now looking for a dynamic and highly skilled Service Technician to join our Service Department.
Role Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for the servicing, commissioning, and repair of humidification equipment, (Humidifiers, Dehumidifiers and Evaporative Coolers) with an emphasis on delivering outstanding customer service. You will also have the opportunity to promote maintenance contracts and company products, ensuring the highest standards of service for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Servicing & Commissioning:
- To service, commission and repair specified Condair and competitor products in accordance with the product technical manuals and relevant Condair procedures.
Planned Maintenance:
- To undertake planned maintenance on service contract sites in accordance with the relevant procedures.
- To become the primary point of contact for the service contract sites and take responsibility for scheduling planned visits and ordering the associated parts.
Installation:
To survey and undertake installation work as required.
Training & Development:
- Deliver training to other technicians, colleagues, and customers on product operation, servicing, and fault finding.
Sales Opportunities:
- Actively identify opportunities to promote company products and encourage customers to take out service contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
Communication & Reporting:
- Utilising SimPro software you will maintain meticulous documentation of all service activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness in service reports, equipment logs, and inventory records.
- Regularly communicate with the internal Service Department team to ensure smooth operations.
Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional image while troubleshooting technical issues.
- Discuss service recommendations and promote the benefits of service contracts to clients.
Care of Equipment:
- Maintain tools, iPad, phone, and company vehicle in excellent condition, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Keep equipment and vehicle stock in good order, regularly checking and replenishing as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute ideas for improving products, services, and overall departmental efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing personal and professional development to remain current with industry trends and requirements.
Health & Safety & Quality:
- Maintain Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and Quality objectives.
- Perform risk assessments, ensure safety protocols are followed, and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Ensure all equipment is safe and appropriate for the job and that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential;
- Trade Qualifications
- Electrical awareness and knowledge of carrying out risk assessments
- Knowledge and understanding of general health and safety and quality procedures and how to apply them within the job
- Computer literacy - basic knowledge of the keyboard, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
Desirable
- Experience and knowledge of humidifiers or building service equipment
- Experience of working in HVAC site environments
- TAFE or Engineering qualification
- Restricted Electrical Works Licence (Disconnect/Reconnect)
- Current Artick licence
Other requirements;
- Maintain a valid driver's licence
- White Card certification
- Police Check
- Company-provided vehicle, uniforms, iPhone and iPad ensuring you have the resources needed to excel in your role.
- Top tier commercial clients and worksites
- To be prepared to travel on a daily basis within Sydney metro and including on occasion long distance trips.
- To be prepared to carry out overtime (limited only) if and when required including some weekend working, primarily Saturdays, according to needs of customer and be flexible with time for example early mornings, late evenings.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers and colleagues.
- Experience in maintaining service contracts and identifying sales opportunities.
