About the role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Team Leader to join our dynamic team at ATA Steel (WA) PTY LTD in Hope Valley, WA. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing and logistics processes, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our products to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

  1. Coordinating a team of manufacturing personnel to achieve production targets and maintain high quality standards
  2. Monitoring team performance, providing guidance and support, and identifying opportunities for improvement
  3. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  4. Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
  5. Providing leadership and mentorship to your team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  6. Implementing and maintaining efficient processes and procedures to optimise productivity and workflow
  7. Actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and enhance our manufacturing and logistics operations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a manufacturing or relevant industry
  2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team
  3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
  4. Thorough understanding of manufacturing, maintenance and logistics processes, with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams
  6. Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining safety protocols and procedures
  7. Equivalent industry experience is advantageous
