About The Role
As a Support Worker with Activ in Geraldton, you will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement. Current Opportunities

• Option 1 - Permanent hours working 50-60 hours a fortnight, start times ranging from 6:30am to shifts finishing as late as 7pm. Picture a roster pattern based on your availability
• Option hour fortnight, overnight sleep shift. As a Rover you will have a set roster pattern, however each shift could be at a different home. Please note that for the 8 hour unpaid sleep period between 10pm-6am, you remain at the home and sleep in your own private room Roster Pattern 50 HR FN - Rover Overnight
• Option 3 - Casual work

A Typical Day In The Role May Look Like

• Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals and working to achieve them
• Joining customers in recreational activities such as swimming, dancing, bingo, horseback riding, going to the gym, bowling and more
• Supporting customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments
• Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
• Administration duties and mandatory daily reports.

The Ideal Candidate

• Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) or Cert IV in Disability (CHC43115 or CHC essential for overnight roster, otherwise desirable
• Be passionate about providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives
• Have willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)
• Have a valid driver's licence and be willing to use their comprehensively insured private vehicle, if required, to transport our customers to activities or appointments
