Senior Analyst Financial Risk

As our Senior Analyst Financial Risk - Reporting and Analytics in the Market Risk team, you will have experience in supporting financial risk projects and reviewing financial risk models. You will also have strong data analytics capabilities to work closely with business stakeholders to drive risk insights. You will be an expert in financial risk areas including liquidity, funding, interest rate, counterparty credit and capital risk.
This position is open to candidates in Brisbane and Sydney, offering you the flexibility to work from home two days per week.
You'll make an impact by:
- Being an expert on regulatory requirements, processes, systems, and models used to monitor and make decisions about our ALM and Market risks.
- Reviewing and analysing project deliverables to ensure appropriate outcomes and decisions are being generated.
- Effectively manage and communicate project deliverables to multiple stakeholders.
- Aggregate and performing data analytics across the balance sheet to drive insights on strategy and positioning to inform decisions.
- Collaborate with team members to analyse and present data
- Analyse and review model inputs, assumptions and results to ensure results are appropriate based on the purpose of the model.
- Contribute to regular and ad-hoc risk reporting as is required for regulators, boards, committees, executive management, and leadership teams.
**Do things differently with us
To succeed in this role, you will have:**
- 4-5 + years' experience in a similar role within the Financial Services sector, preferably managing projects.
- Experience working within a three lines of defence model for managing risk
- Analysis of a range of financial instruments from an interest rate, liquidity, credit or financial risk perspective
- Knowledge of relevant financial services regulatory and compliance considerations
- Experience with PowerBI or SQL would be advantageous
