The Opportunity

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing team. This role focuses on evaluating business opportunities, providing financial insights, and supporting strategic decision-making for clients and internal projects. You will use your analytical expertise to assess the financial viability of projects, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to long-term business strategy. The role is office-based in our Brisbane CBD office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse potential business opportunities, mining projects, and investments from a financial perspective.
  • Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support decision-making.
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports highlighting financial insights, trends, and risks.
  • Evaluate project profitability, cost structures, and return on investment.
  • Work closely with project managers and consultants to translate business requirements into financial metrics.
  • Maintain and improve financial data collection, reporting processes, and analysis methodologies.
  • Support strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation decisions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to provide financial advice and recommendations.

What You Will Need

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, ideally within mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong skills in financial modelling, Excel, and BI tools.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with internal teams and clients.
  • Initiative and commercial acumen to contribute to business growth and strategy.
