An exciting opportunity is available for a two new Squad Leads to complement our Technology, Group Business Units.

About you

As a key leader within our agile delivery framework, you will empower squads to plan and deliver work iteratively and efficiently while proactively identifying and removing impediments to maintain focus on achieving high-quality outcomes.

You will take ownership of monitoring progress and ensuring transparency of the squad's status and deliverables, guaranteeing that commitments are met on time and to standard. Acting as a servant leader and agile coach, you will facilitate agile ceremonies, encourage collaboration, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Your mission is to embed agile values and principles within the team, fostering a dynamic, high-performing environment that promotes innovation, accountability, and delivery excellence.

Importantly, to hit the ground running you will have performed in a similar high-profile, high-touch function to date working and are no stranger to working with a variety of diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

You are commercially astute, able to cater your language and style to suit your audience, and able balance priorities within complex corporate structures with matrix reporting lines and competing demands.

Bonus points for this type of experience that has featured within Banking & Financial Services arenas – in particular Consumer or Institutional lines of business

What do I need?

• Take comprehensive ownership of squad delivery and execution by breaking down outcomes into clear, actionable, and valuable tasks.
• Lead and motivate remote, cross-functional teams to commit and deliver successfully.
• Ensure the squad's Epic Kanban and Sprint boards are always accurate and up to date.
• Help the squad connect their work to the broader goals of the Agile Release Train (ART).
• Resolve conflicts effectively and communicate delivery risks or impediments promptly.
• Use customer and business value to guide priorities and decision-making.
• Track and interpret key metrics to support continuous improvement.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Daily Stand-ups.
• Remove blockers and impediments to keep the squad focused and productive.
• Support Product Owners in managing the backlog and prioritizing high-value work.
• Empower the squad to deliver high-quality business and customer outcomes efficiently and sustainably.
