About the role:
As a primary teacher in an ACT public school, you will:
- Inspire and teach students from kindergarten to year 6 using the Australian Curriculum (V9.0).
- Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues and the wider school community.
- Join a collaborative and supportive team focused on student wellbeing and achieving student learning outcomes.
- Apply teaching strategies and curriculum knowledge to drive improved student outcomes.
- Bring well-developed classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate students.
- Support students' diverse needs, creating an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and supported.
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives and contribute to and foster a positive school culture.
What we're looking for:
- Primary expertise: Strong curriculum knowledge and a proven focus on effective literacy and numeracy pedagogies.
- Qualifications and experience: A recognised tertiary teaching qualification and experience working with primary-aged students.
- Passion for teaching: A genuine desire to see students thrive and succeed in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Eligibility requirements:

- A recognised 4-year full-time tertiary teaching qualification.
- ACT Teacher Quality Institute Teacher Registration (or eligibility to apply).
- Valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration (or eligibility to apply).
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid working visa.
