Description & RequirementsWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Controls Specialist to support our projects with system setup, training, and general project controls support. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in integrating our new Project Management System InEight, ensuring seamless functionality and support for project personnel. This role requires advanced technical skills, a deep understanding of project controls, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
The role is full time, permanent opportunity based in our Victoria Park Office, however flexible options would be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
System Implementation and Support:
- Set up and configure the Project Management System for new and ongoing projects.
- Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to project personnel.
- Facilitate integration with relevant software platforms, including P6.
- Prepare Control Budget from Tender Budget and coordinate with stakeholders.
Project Engineering Support:
- Prepare Quantity Man Hours Reports (QMR).
- Oversee P6 integration for scheduling and planning purposes. Conduct re-measurement and quantity claiming tasks to ensure accurate project metrics.
- Generate and distribute client and internal reports.
- Collaborate on work packaging to streamline project execution
Change and Cost Management:
- Manage and document project changes, ensuring proper evaluation and resolution.
- Prepare end-of-month project cost reports.
- Monitor and manage Actual Costs, Accruals and Commitments Forecast project resource costs and manage budgets effectively
Earned Value Management:
- Capture and validate progress in accordance with the progress measurement Analyse Earned Value and compare with budget and cost
End of Month Project Reporting:
- Ensure all Project Controls requirements are delivered effectively and on time.
- Review project performance using the Performance Metrics and recommend corrective action
Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel and P6 software. Leverage experience with ERP systems to enhance project operations.
- Identify and propose opportunities for process enhancements
Contract Management:
- Work within various contract models, such as Target Cost Estimate (TCE) and Lump Sum (LS), to optimize project outcomes
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Primavera P6 software
- Experience with ERP systems and their application in project management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with various contract models is highly advantageous
- Demonstrated experience in budget preparation and cost forecasting
- Proven track record in delivering training and support for project systems
- Knowledge of change management processes and earned value methodologies
- Adaptability to dynamic project environments and ability to meet tight deadlines
