Lead Educator

IGS Early Learners is a near new, purpose-built long day care centre and kindergarten service, catering for boys and girls from 6 weeks old to Pre-Prep. Additionally, children have access to facilities like the Junior School Library and Sporting Facility for Bush Kindy activities. The role of the Lead Educator is to develop and implement the program of activities and experiences that support learning for children in our Toddler or Junior Kindy rooms. You will develop high quality educational and operational plans that align with the national quality standards.

The Lead Educator Junior Kindy or Toddlers will be responsible for:

• Ensuring IGS Early Learners facilitates a developmentally oriented learning environment and develop learning programs responsive to children's ideas, strengths and abilities that inspire independent learners;
• Ensure the early childhood program meets the goals of the EYLF to help children develop a strong sense of their identity, connections with their world, strong sense of wellbeing confidence and involvement in their learning and effective communication skills;
• Have an understanding of relevant legislation, frameworks, IGS Early Learners' policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure the Service meets all compliance obligations;
• Care for the physical and emotional needs of babies, toddlers and children at the Centre, relevant to their age and development;
• Undertake general tasks to contribute to the overall operation of the Centre.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

As a condition of employment, staff are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and are required to maintain their Blue Card for the duration of employment. In addition, hold a current First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Qualification.
