Port Pacific Resort is a fully independent apartment accommodation provider in the beautiful coastal town of Port Macquarie.  Due to retirement, we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our family as a casual Resort Maintenance Officer in a small maintenance team.

Reporting to the Resort Manager or Maintenance Supervisor, your role includes, but not limited to:

  • A hands-on approach to hotel maintenance operations, emergency procedures, OH&S
  • A basic understanding of maintenance for varying machinery, plant, equipment, fittings, fixtures and actively engaging in repairs and maintenance tasks when needed
  • Maintenance of guest rooms and public areas, furnishings, fixtures, equipment, pools and air conditioning
  • Provide a fast, friendly and efficient service for maintenance requests
  • Working weekends and night shifts on a rotating roster with the maintenance team

The ideal candidate will ideally meet the following criteria but plenty of on the job training will be undertaken:

  • Previous experience in a similar role advantage
  • A Trade qualification will be highly regarded, though by no means not essential
  • Strong team player who can also work autonomously
  • Great interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement including our valued guests
  • Calm and professional demeanour who works well under pressure
  • Physically fit to enable the undertaking of the duties of this very hands-on role
  • Hold a valid full Australian driving licence
