About the role

As a Leading Hand Landfill at the City of Coffs Harbour, you'll play an important role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of England's Road Waste Management Facility.

As a Leading Hand, you will:

  • Supervise and support a dedicated team in delivering essential waste services.

  • Ensure efficient use of plant, materials, and resources.

  • Contribute to environmental sustainability through our Environmental Management System.

  • Foster a safe, positive, and productive work environment.

About you?

  • Certificate lll in Civil Construction, or equivalent relevant experience

  • Minimum two (2) years previous experience on at least one of the following machines:

    • Waste Compactor, Track loader, Excavator, Front-end loader

  • National Construction & Induction Certification ('Whitecard')

  • Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

  • Current Class HR NSW Drivers Licence

  • Forklift Licence (Class LF) or obtain within an agreed timeframe

  • Available to work a 7 day a week rotating roster
