Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Risk & Compliance Analyst located in Brisbane or Melbourne. The Risk & Compliance Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting audits, and performing risk assessments. The role involves analysing financial data, implementing compliance programs, and preparing reports. Effective communication with relevant stakeholders is essential to this role. While based in either Brisbane or Melbourne CBD, some work-from-home flexibility is acceptable.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with merchant onboarding by conducting Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks.
- Perform Anti-Money Laundering (AML) screening on new and existing merchants.
- Review flags and alerts generated by our internal risk engine, escalating as required.
- Support the execution of risk assessments for new and existing merchants.
- Maintain and update internal risk and compliance registers (e.g. breaches, complaints, incidents).
- Monitor and interpret regulatory updates, helping to shape our evolving compliance framework.
- Assist in conducting periodic audits and internal reviews to identify gaps or control weaknesses.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk and compliance practices across the business.

Qualifications
- Regulatory Compliance and Auditing skills
- Strong Analytical Skills and experience in Finance
- Excellent Communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
- Experience in the payments or fintech industry is a plus
