We are seeking a talented individual to join our
JLT Group
(a business of Marsh McLennan) who manage the WA local government mutual indemnity scheme known as
LGIS.
This role is based in our
West Leederville
office.

LGIS is a member-owned mutual supporting WA local governments by delivering indemnity protection and risk management. As a not-for profit industry based mutual indemnity scheme, jointly owned by the participating local governments, LGIS exists to provide a superior long-term alternative to what is made available by the traditional insurance market.

As the
Member Engagement Coordinator,
you're able to anticipate the needs of others and will play a critical role in coordinating key member engagement opportunities including meetings, council presentations and other events. Working across the business you will deal with our Board of Directors, CEO, leadership and subject matter experts to make sure that we deliver a comprehensive engagement program. This role includes coordinating a range of business activities, meeting room bookings, travel arrangements, meetings and events support, and offering executive assistance. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and organisational abilities, strong relationship building ability, excellent phone skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively across all levels.

We will count on you to:

  • Provide confidential executive support, including diary management, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
  • Support LGIS Board and committee meetings with scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and communication.
  • Manage stakeholder databases and coordinate presentations and attendance with local government representatives.
  • Assist with marketing and communications tasks such as website updates, event organisation, supplier liaison, and style guide compliance.
  • Ensure all work aligns with LGIS Core Values.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to developing and maintaining professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • A solution-focused mind set with ability to juggle competing priorities and varying demands
  • Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word
