We have an opportunity for you to join Samsung Electronics Australia as our B2B Business Development Manager (BDM) in the Commercial Air Solutions team.
This role is based in Queensland and you will be responsible for the hunting and capture of commercial HVAC leads within the territory, ultimately converting to orders and sales.
Your primary customer will be AC Contractors, however, you will also support the commercial divisions of Distributor Channel and foster direct relationships with commercial developers/builders to support Samsung brand selection and recommendation.
Role and Responsibilities
Commercial Sales
- Develop and nurture relationships with consultants, contractors, and developers to drive commercial sales opportunities and growth.
- Expand Digital Variable Multi (DVM) / Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) project business during the design phase, in line with sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Monitor competitor activity, analyse market trends, and identify new business opportunities.
- Promote Samsung's commercial solutions through presentations, training, and distribution of technical sales tools.
- Work closely with the Commercial Sales Manager to plan and execute sales strategies and activities.
Technical Consulting
- Provide technical consulting support to commercial contractors and consultants, highlighting Samsung's unique product advantages over competitors.
- Work with the team to review and align product lineups and business strategies based on market trends and client feedback.
- Stay up-to-date on government regulations and support training to ensure product knowledge and technical processes are aligned with industry standards.
- Maintain and submit weekly forecast and project pipeline report
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven sales experience in the HVAC / air solutions / air-conditioning industry
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or relevant) is highly preferred
- Able to read, understand and communicate technical air-conditioning information
- Highly motivated and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively
