We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Mine Engineer- Underground to join our client's dynamic team, driving the planning, production, and direction of innovative mining projects across Australia.

About the Role: As a Senior Mine Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering sustainably and ethically sourced Australian critical minerals. You'll be responsible for producing and executing mine plans, integrating long-term strategies, and ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist developing and deliver Life of Mine strategies, integrating them into successful mine plans and schedules for both medium and short-term operations.
  • Produce practical and executable mine designs, planning, and scheduling documents.
  • Liaise with Geology, Geotechnical, and Site teams to ensure accurate and timely mine plans.
  • Communicate mine plans to all relevant personnel, fostering awareness of future targets and directions.
  • Undertake infrastructure projects and assist in the preparation of annual mining budgets.
  • Set up standards, procedures, and management plans for the Mine Engineering team.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support the tendering process with consultants and contractors.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mine Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, covering all aspects of production, planning, and mine design (lateral/vertical development and production).
  • Minimum of 3 years of underground mine engineering experience is required.
  • Strong underground production and planning experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with Deswik suite software, including Deswik Scheduling.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
