Lake Norong Pty Ltd trading as Café Catalina requires a qualified and experienced Chef de Partie, for a permanent full-time position. Great lifestyle location - Waterfront venue located at Broadwater Parklands, Southport QLD 4215.

About the role - Chef de Partie:

Qualified and experienced Chef de Partie required to join our kitchen brigade. Must have a love for food, be able to produce a consistent product, thrive in a busy environment and have great communication and organisational skills.

You will be responsible supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in our busy restaurant kitchen delivering consistently high-quality food.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist managing & supervising all aspects of kitchen including chefs and cooks;
  • Prepare meals and assist in running of the kitchen and restaurant;
  • Maintain larder and inventory;
  • Assist with menu planning and seasonal menu changes;
  • Assist with management of kitchen and staff;
  • Quality control and assurance;
  • Maintaining OH&S and hygiene standards;
  • Assist in staff training where required and skilled to do so.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum Certificate III qualification in Commercial Cookery;
  • Min 2+ years' experience as a Chef in a well-established restaurant or full-service hotel;
  • A high standard of spoken and written English;
  • Flexible working hours subject to the demands of the business – Weekend work required;
  • Able to work under pressure and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $76,515.00 – $86,515.00 per year
