Disability Support Worker – Sunbury

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team in Sunbury. This role involves providing dedicated support to a non-verbal male participant living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Global Developmental Delay (GDD).
About the Role:
The participant requires:
- Constant supervision and guidance with daily living tasks.
- Support to engage in safe and appropriate social interactions.
- Assistance in managing impulsive or unsafe behaviours positively and proactively.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism, developmental delays, or behaviours of concern (preferred).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to use prompts and non-verbal strategies.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to making a positive difference.
Requirements:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Working with Children Check.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle (desirable).
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 12 per week
Work Location: In person
