Shift Hours: 12 Hours
Hourly Rate: $52 per hour Super
Employment Type: Fixed-term 6 month contract

We're on the lookout for an experienced MC Driver Trainer who is passionate about developing others, driving operational excellence, and upholding the highest safety and compliance standards.

About the Role

As our MC Driver Trainer, you'll play a pivotal role in building capability across our MC driver workforce. From onboarding and assessments to coaching and compliance, you'll help ensure every driver meets Newhaul's standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver & Manage Driver Training

  • Run end-to-end MC driver training – from pre-employment onboarding to annual reassessments.
  • Facilitate practical assessments, simulations, and safety drills.
  • Support driver induction, probation, and ongoing compliance.

Lead a Team of Internal Trainers

  • Mentor experienced MC Drivers undertaking training duties.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment across all training activities.
  • Coordinate training based on operational needs.

Analyse Driver Performance & Close Skill Gaps

  • Use driver performance data, incident reports, and supervisor input to identify training needs.
  • Maintain an up-to-date competency register and development plans.
  • Support high-potential drivers and retrain where needed.

Ensure Compliance & System Accuracy

  • Keep accurate training records and upload results into Litmos and HR systems.
  • Ensure all training aligns with WHS standards and internal policies.
  • Support WHS audits and compliance reviews as required.

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Update training content to reflect regulatory and operational changes.
  • Collaborate with WHS, HR, and Recruitment to streamline onboarding and probation processes.
