About the Company
We are working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Program Support Officer.
About the Role
This role will be supporting the program of works being delivered by the State-wide Programs team. This person will assist with the delivery of the Next Generation Traffic Signalling Program (NGTSP), the Smart LED Road Lighting (SLRL) project, the Smart Heavy Vehicle Management System (SHVMS) and any other future projects. The majority of the work in this role will be in supporting the NGTSP, due for completion in 2030.
- Proactively ensuring the governance model is adhered to throughout project lifecycles
- File management of all project documentation
- Scheduling and minuting of project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Liaison with delivery partners
- Business case development
- Benefit realisation reporting
- Six monthly project progress reporting and planning (stage planning)
- Procurement lead and liaison with PMD and ICT procurement teams
- Team member contract's expiry tracking and renewal as required
- Managing the initial setup and subsequent reviews of the risk register for each project
- Proactively maintain project registers
- Management of the email inbox
- Management of the projects SharePoint pages and website
- Planning and scheduling team building activities
- Tracking of works requests
- Managing Board meetings in terms of scheduling, attendance and minute taking
- Drafting of all Board reports and coordinating inputs
- Chasing up action item owners for updates prior to each meeting
- Drafting Board decision briefs and information briefs for Project Managers for review
- Issuing out of session Board documentation for approval and recording votes
- Consistent filing of all Board documentation for future reference by Project Managers
- Other tasks as request by the Director (State-wide Programs).
Drafting of:
- Project management plans
- Change management plans
- Benefit realisation plans
- Procurement plans & documentation
- Ministerial briefings
- Media statements and co-ordination
- Project inputs to annual reports
- Internal and external presentations
- Final formatting review of reports to ensure the department format is followed
About you
- Extensive experience in project or program support roles
- A high level of skill and experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams
- A willingness to perform tasks as requested and adopt feedback as provided
- Good time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive approach to team member interaction
The Benefits
- $86.18 to $92.41 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
- Contract up to October 2027
- Brisbane, CBD
- Monday to Friday, Full time hours
