Practice Delivery Lead

About the Role

Join our leadership team as Practice Delivery Lead, where you'll be responsible for shaping how we deliver projects across the studio. You'll oversee project planning, resourcing, and documentation standards, ensuring high-quality outcomes while supporting Project Leaders and freeing up Directors' time for business development.

This role combines practice management, project delivery, and mentoring, giving you scope to influence systems, drive efficiency, and foster a culture of continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the studio's delivery performance, maintaining quality, profitability, and service standards
  • Oversee resource planning, project programming, and documentation processes
  • Support Project Leaders with planning, financial tracking, and client liaison
  • Contribute to proposals, fee structures, and resourcing to help win work
  • Mentor project leaders and teams, providing guidance on complex project issues
  • Build strong client relationships, driving repeat and referral opportunities
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to enhance systems and standards across the practice

About You

You bring deep professional expertise and a proven track record of leading delivery in an architecture or design practice. With strong commercial acumen and a collaborative leadership style, you thrive in balancing project, people, and business priorities. Your skills include:

  • 15+ years' professional practice experience with tertiary qualifications in a core design discipline
  • Professional registration/licence in Australia
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, programming, and quality management
  • Experience leading teams, mentoring future leaders, and resolving complex project issues
  • Confidence in client engagement and contributing to business development
  • Integrity, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement
