The Practice Lead – Integration Technologies is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of integration platforms and services across the enterprise. This role ensures that systems and data are seamlessly connected to support business processes, digital transformation, and operational efficiency. The Practice Lead leads a team of integration developers, manages the lifecycle of integration technologies, and partners with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing integration solutions.
Your Day to Day
Integration Strategy & Architecture
Define and maintain the enterprise integration strategy, standards, and patterns.Ensure integration solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with architectural principles.Collaborate with enterprise architects and solution designers to support business and technology initiatives.Platform Ownership & Delivery
Own the lifecycle of integration platforms (e.g., Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.).Lead the design, development, and deployment of APIs, data pipelines, and system interfaces.Ensure integrations are monitored, supported, and continuously improvedTeam Leadership & Development
Lead and evolve the Integration practice, combining strategic and hands-on leadership.Lead and mentor a team of integration developers and technical specialists.Foster a culture of engineering excellence, collaboration, and innovation.Support career development and capability uplift across the team.Operational Excellence
Ensure integration services meet performance, availability, and security requirements.Oversee incident and problem resolution related to integration failures or data issues.Drive automation, reusability, and standardisation across integration development.Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders throughout the organisation, including senior leaders and executives.Partner with business and technology teams to understand integration needs and deliver solutions.Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Support project delivery by providing integration estimates, timelines, and risk assessments.Vendor & Contract Management
Manage relationships with integration platform vendors and service providers.Oversee contracts, renewals, and licence usage.Ensure vendor performance aligns with SLAs and strategic goals.Governance & Compliance
Ensure integration practices comply with data governance, privacy, and security standards.Maintain documentation, version control, and audit trails for all integration assets.Support internal and external audit activities.Requirements
Proven experience leading integration teams and managing enterprise integration platforms.Strong understanding of API design, event-driven architecture, and data transformation.Experience with cloud-based integration technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, MuleSoft, Boomi).Solid knowledge of security, data governance, and compliance in integration contexts.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Experience in agile and hybrid delivery environments.Solid knowledge of information security principles, data governance, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or traditional project delivery environments.Experience in enterprise architecture or solution design.Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for integration development.Exposure to microservices, containerisation, and serverless technologies as well as AI integration possibilities.Certification in relevant platforms (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer, Azure Integration Architect).Experience in scaling integration capabilities in high-growth or global organisations.Experience working in fast-paced, scaling environments or transformation programs. Bachelor's in IT or related discipline10+ years in Technology rolesGlobal or APAC experience a benefit but not essential.
