We currently have a rare opportunity for a Ocean Product Capacity Lead to join our corporate team in Sydney.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct and control capacity management activities for FCL for the Pacific Sub Region on key trades, with key carriers for import and export
  • Set-up and maintenance of the system and routines to gather and upload customer forecasts
  • Monitoring and managing forward bookings to maximise efficient and effective use of carrier allocations awarded to GEODIS
  • Ensure allocated space is used by the accounts is it designated for
  • That over and under bookings by customers of allocated space is recognised and communicated with customers appropriately via the appropriate stakeholder
  • Carrier performance in terms of honouring allocations is measured and reported on
  • Customer bookings which divert from directed allocations is identified and appropriate action is taken to realign
  • Develop systems and processes to continuously improve in all elements in forecasting space and allocation

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 10 years' industry experience
  • Specialised experience in shipping company container freight business model and practises
  • Knowledge of Cargowise is a distinct advantage
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications and intermediate level in excel
  • Strong communication skills, e-mail etiquette and proficiency
  • Time management and prioritising skills
