About You

LaSalle Catholic College Bankstown is seeking enthusiastic Trade Trainers/VET Teachers to work at our school. As a suitably qualified Trainer/Teacher, you will be a dynamic educator, keen to engage and inspire our students and deliver a curriculum that caters for students with different learning styles. You will also play a vital part in developing and implementing effective lesson plans to ensure high-quality student learning and engagement.

To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate;

• ability to deliver high quality, personalised training specific to the qualification
• ability to support and supervise a group of vocationally focused students
• ability to liaise with industry representatives whilst supporting the workplace learning program
• effective teaching/coaching skills
• sound written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• a commitment to quality education and training and to sharing your industry knowledge with your students
• ability to work as part of a team of trainer educators
• a commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College, the Catholic Church and the wellbeing of all community members
• experience in training and mentoring young people in an employment or educational environment (highly desirable).

You will have attained:

• relevant industry qualifications in Construction, Automotive, Plumbing, Hospitality & Electrotechnology
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
