Lifestyle Coordinator – Guide Wellbeing Through Connection

Are you a confident, proactive communicator with a passion for building relationships and driving social connection? As our
Lifestyle Coordinator in Rockhampton
, you'll lead engaging programs that bring joy, inclusion, and wellbeing to older adults.

This permanent full-time, Monday to Friday, role offers the chance to shape a vibrant mix of in-centre and out-of-centre activities, from respite and social outings to community events. By connecting with local networks and internal teams, you'll grow participation, expand our volunteer base, and make every interaction count.

More about the role

Reporting to the Team Leader Social Coordinator you will:

  • Lead with purpose
    : Design and deliver inclusive social connection and engagement programs that that enhance customer wellbeing.
  • Be a connector
    : Build strong relationships with teams, customers, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Champion community outreach
    : Promote Suncare locally to grow awareness, attract customers, and recruit volunteers.
  • Drive participation
    : Maximise engagement in programs and boost usage of Suncare's facilities.
  • Manage logistics
    : Coordinate transport, venues, and staffing to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Ensure quality and safety
    : Conduct risk assessments and uphold safety and compliance standards.
  • Support and lead teams
    : Guide Support Workers and Volunteers through training and development.
  • Listen and improve
    : Use customer feedback to enhance service and program quality.

About you

You're someone who brings creativity, empathy, and practical know-how to every interaction. With a strong sense of purpose and a genuine interest in supporting older adults, you know how to turn ideas into engaging, inclusive programs that make a real impact.

You'll bring:

  • A relevant qualification (Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle) or willingness to obtain
  • Experience in aged care or disability services, ideally in a Lifestyle or Activities Coordinator role
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse communities
  • Solid organisational and computer literacy skills, plus experience leading and supporting teams
  • Local Rockhampton knowledge and community connections (highly regarded)
  • Willingness to use your own vehicle for work purposes
