Food Services Assistant

As a Food Services Assistant, you'll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of our Hawthorn facility.

St Vincent's Care Services Hawthorn (locally known as Mary Mackillop Aged Care) is a 91-bed facility located in Hawthorn East, just 7km from Melbourne's city centre with the added convenience of Camberwell Junction right around the corner.

We are seeking people who are passionate about providing care that is sensitive to resident's individualised needs, preferences and choices and are committed to building strong, meaningful connections with residents.

This casual role offers AM and PM shifts across all seven days of the week.

Things that work for us:

• An ability to provide a catering and kitchen service that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation
• Experience in hospitality, an aged care facility, hospital environment and/or related field (preferred)
• Providing services that support high quality food services outcomes for residents, customers and staff of the Facility
• Ability to work a rotating roster, flexible
• High level of customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
