Food Service Assistant – Monash Gardens (Fixed Term 6 Months) Mulgrave VIC, Australia

The Royal Freemasons community is looking for an experienced and motivated Food Services Assistant to join our team at Monash Gardens Residential Aged Care Facility in Mulgrave. This is a fixed-term contract for 6 months.

Overview

The Royal Freemasons community is looking for an experienced and motivated Food Services Assistant to join our team at Monash Gardens Residential Aged Care Facility in Mulgrave.

Responsibilities
  • Make sure dining rooms are well kept and tables are neatly presented.
  • Preparation, serving, presentation and delivery of food and beverages in accordance with the Food Safety Program.
  • Ensure the correct food and beverages are served to each resident according to their dietary/specialized nutritional requirements.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service, presenting in a professional manner when interacting with residents during meal services.
Key Requirements
  • It is a mandatory requirement to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance (or potentially both) to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
  • All Aged Care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and are encouraged to receive the Flu-Vaccine.
  • Basic Food Handlers Level 1 HLTFSE001 certificate required.
Compensation and Schedule
  • $27.66 per hour (plus allowances) + Superannuation + Salary packaging
  • Week 1 – Monday 07:30–14:30, Tuesday 07:30–14:30, Thursday 07:30–14:30 and Sunday 16:00–20:00
  • Week 2 – Monday 07:30–14:30, Tuesday 07:30–14:30, Thursday 07:30–14:30 and Sunday 16:00–20:00
  • Fixed term for 6 months
