We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and ensure we continue delivering exceptional products and service to our customers.

About the Role

As Production Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end glass manufacturing process within our facility. This role calls for a strategic leader who can manage people and resources effectively, optimise workflows, and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality. You'll play a key role in meeting production targets while driving efficiency, reducing costs, and inspiring your team to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production, ensuring efficient use of machinery, staff, and materials
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer orders on time
  • Lead and mentor the production team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain and enforce high standards of safety and quality control
  • Monitor costs and identify opportunities for savings through process optimisation
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflows across the business
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules in coordination with the maintenance team
  • Track and report on production performance, identifying areas for improvement

About You

We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong leadership skills. You'll have a proven ability to manage production in a fast-paced environment, with a passion for motivating teams and delivering outstanding results.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years in production management, ideally in manufacturing (glass industry experience highly desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and quality control processes
  • Experience leading diverse teams and building positive, high-performance cultures
  • Proficiency in manufacturing systems, inventory management, and MS Office
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of workplace health & safety standards and compliance requirements
