The Role
GenusPlus is delivering the North West Transmission Developments (NWTD) - a project that will transform the way energy flows across Tasmania and into the national grid. We're looking for a Senior Project Planner / Scheduler who can lead program development and delivery with precision, foresight, and authority.

This is your opportunity to take ownership of a high-impact schedule, lead a small team of planners, and engage directly with technical leads and subject matter experts. You'll use your expertise in Primavera P6, Monte Carlo, SRA, and complex WBS/CBS structures to steer this pivotal project through all phases.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the full lifecycle build and management of project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Apply Monte Carlo analysis and SRA techniques to assess risk and validate schedule robustness
  • Direct and supervise a small team of planners, setting outcomes and driving consistency
  • Develop and maintain detailed Basis of Schedule documentation
  • Build and implement complex Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS)
  • Collaborate across engineering, delivery, and commercial functions to integrate timelines and scope
  • Leverage your experience on Substations and Transmission Lines to shape a realistic and reliable schedule
  • Preferably use Tilos to support linear project planning
  • Engage SMEs and disciplines to ensure accuracy and ownership of schedule data
  • Support project controls, claims, and reporting with well-structured planning artefacts

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive experience in project planning for major infrastructure or energy projects
  • Deep technical expertise in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
  • Proven ability to apply Monte Carlo simulations and SRA
  • Experience supervising and directing planning teams
  • Confidence in implementing and managing WBS/CBS frameworks
  • Strong skills in MS Project and Excel
  • Substation and/or Transmission Line project experience (highly desirable)
  • Experience with Tilos (preferred)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and written communication abilities
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
