1. Experienced Driver Furniture Removalist
2. Experience preferred Offsider Furniture Removalist

About The Hired Home

The Hired Home is a boutique property styling company founded in January 2014. We service clients across the Sydney metropolitan area, with a primary focus on the Inner West and Lower North Shore. Our warehouse is centrally located in Marrickville, providing a convenient base for our operations.

About the Roles

These casual positions offer up to full-time hours, with the potential to transition into full-time roles once the right candidates are found. All positions are Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm, with occasional overtime during busy periods. Say goodbye to weekend work and hello to a work-life balance that fits your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities (Across All Roles)

+ Picking pre-selected furniture and accessories.

+ Loading/unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring furniture and soft furnishings are handled with care.

+ Assisting stylists by placing furniture, hanging art, cleaning furniture, and performing minor repairs.

+ Managing pack downs and packing of homewares.

+ Maintaining/cleaning furniture and general warehouse housekeeping duties.

+ Assembling furniture and performing minor repairs.

+ Receiving and logging returned jobs.

+ Keeping the warehouse and company vehicles in an orderly and tidy condition.

+ Organising weekly/daily truck run sheets.

+ Troubleshooting challenges on-site with a practical approach.

+ Performing ad hoc duties as necessary.

Role-Specific Duties

Driver Furniture Removalist

+ Loading and packing a truck efficiently and affectively.

+ Driving and managing the transportation of furniture to and from properties.

+ Ensuring safe and secure handling of all items during transit.

+ Assisting with on-site installations and pack downs as required.

Offsider Furniture Removalist

+ Supporting the driver and stylists with loading/unloading and installations.

+ Preparing and maintaining tools and equipment for daily use.

+ Assisting with warehouse duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

+ Physically fit with core strength, agility, and stamina.

+ Honest, positive, responsible, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent planning, organisational, and time-management abilities.

+ Ability to work independently and in a team.

+ Fit, friendly, and well-presented individuals who can handle the physical demands of the job.

+ Proven Drivers' licence is essential for Driver roles.

+ Experience in loading and packing a truck efficiently and affectively.

+ Comfortable using computer systems and adapting to warehouse operations.

+ Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.

+ Car licence (C) required for Driver Removalist positions.

+ Minimum 6 months furniture removal experience required for Driver role.
