Hire Australia is a commercial equipment hire business located in Warrnambool, Victoria. We supply mobile plant across Western Victoria and further afield.

The Role…

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing all types of mobile plant. Including, but not limited to Excavators, Skid Steer Loaders, Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Traffic Lights, Air Compressors etc.

Key Responsibilities…

  • Complete maintenance, repairs and servicing on various types of mobile plant in our workshop and on site.
  • In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, maintain a preventative maintenance program for all plant.
  • Document all planned and unplanned servicing, repairs and breakdowns utilising the maintenance planner.
  • Carry out pre hire duties/washing of plant.
  • We really like our employees and don't want anyone to get hurt So working safely is a must.

Must haves…

  • The right attitude We love people that care about their work.
  • Qualified mechanic.
  • Excellent diagnostic skills.
  • Manual drivers licence.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Be able to work independently both on and off site and as part of a team.
  • Forklift licence

Would love, but not a deal breaker…

  • Plant licences.
  • Truck licence.
  • White card.
  • Welding experience.
  • Hydraulic experience.
